With my usual pastime on hiatus, I am sometimes doing quick and easy paintings instead. Its a good bang for the buck, so to speak.
Another photo I found on-line. Wasn’t sure I could paint it well, but I like how it turned out. Lots of sugar in there, huh?
Saw this nice photo on-line and decided to paint it. Yes, glaciers are sometimes that blue. It’s prettier in person, blues don’t photograph very well.
The fourth and maybe last of the fruit series. Maybe I’ll try spices next.
An experiment.
Trying to broaden my horizons. This one is large, 3′ x 4′. The colors are enhanced, I wanted something vivid, not necessarily accurate. I’m not sure it worked as well as I’d hoped. But we learn more from mistakes than successes.
Out of order on this site, actually my second fruit. It’s hard to mix the right green color, I missed but I think it’s still a natural apple color.
Here’s the same painting with some really cool light coming from the window.
I had an inspiration to start doing comics again. Here are a few drafts. I never know if anyone will thinks my comics are funny, so let me know if they are worth the effort.
Thought I’d try something new, didn’t plan anything and just started painting ice cream cones. Added stuff as I went. Almost torched this one, but it turned out ok. It’s large, 3′ x 4′.
