Still Lives 3

My art and writings
I’m taking a still life class. This is the first one. Its more challenging painting from live set ups during a set time window.
Reminds me of a Bond movie… Anyway, another watercolor from Dad’s photos. This one was before the bull rider, not that you care.
My first oil piece for awhile. I wanted to do a bull rider and try to create some motion. This one is pretty big, 40″ x 30″, I think.
Still learnin’ watercolor. From a photo taken on a boat in Belize about 4 years ago.
Revising previous guess, this is a cedar waxwing. Thanks to my brothers for the correction. Third watercolor. I don’t think Dad took this one.
Second watercolor piece, from one of Dad’s photos
This is my first (and only) watercolor to date, from one of the over 100 million bird photos my dad took. More or less. It was fun, looking forward to doing more watercolor.
This is Va Tech basketball coach Mike Young, enjoying (?) his customary pregame popcorn. I’d credit the photo if I knew who took it. But I liked it. And Coach Young.
